Life is about choices. Sometimes you follow the path others lay out for you. Sometimes, you choose your own dream. This is my story.

As a child at the Circus School in Amsterdam, I discovered the magic of the stage. A seed was planted: I wanted to amaze, inspire, and make the impossible possible. At twelve, I was already performing in Magic Musical in Puerto Rico, yet for years… I chose the ‘safe’ route. A career test suggested architecture. I worked as a cameraman and production manager in television. But something kept nagging at me.

Then, one night, I stood in a sold-out Carré, back in the circus world of my childhood. This was where my heart belonged. I made a bold decision: I studied Physical Theatre in California, honed my skills, and combined my two greatest passions—theater and surfing—into a dream life. Surfing by day, performing by night. From Las Vegas to Hollywood’s Magic Castle, from Just for Laughs to arenas in China—I conquered stages worldwide.

But dreams evolve
I wanted more than entertainment. I wanted to move people, to leave them with something meaningful. This is how Magic Minded was born—shows that don’t just amaze but also inspire. About courage, mindset, and forging your own path. Because if I’ve learned one thing, it’s this: success starts when you switch off autopilot.

My career has been a series of bold choices. Leaving TV for an uncertain life as an artist. Ignoring advice to "do something stable." Constantly redefining my goal: from pure spectacle to shows with a message.
